About hormone pellets
Pellets are placed beneath the skin and release medication over time. They may offer convenience for selected patients, but they are not automatically the best treatment route for every patient. Unlike a tablet, cream, patch, or injection, a pellet cannot be immediately removed or rapidly adjusted after placement.
Pellet therapy requires the same laboratory and clinical monitoring as any other hormone treatment route.
Monitoring
Hormone treatment is followed with scheduled laboratory testing and clinical review, with dose and route adjusted based on response, symptoms, and safety monitoring.
